John Hinkson Baker

John Hinkson Baker (1864), son of David and Ann (Hinkson) Baker, was born in Middletown, July 19, 1816. In 1841 he was clerk of the Borough of Chester. In 1861, he was elected a Justice of the Peace; in 1862 he was one of the organizers of the Union League of Delaware county; was secretary and treasurer of the Chester Gas Company and held a like office in the Chester Rural Cemetery Company. He died suddenly, January 19, 1866, in his forty-ninth year.
