John Garrett (1843-49), son of Jonathan and Hannah (Brinton) Garrett, was born January 1, 1789. In 1835, he was the owner and "Mine Host" of the "Seven Stars," in Aston, and was a director of The Delaware County Mutual Insurance Company. He was prominent in the affairs of the southwestern section of the county. He died at Village Green, January 19, 1872, aged 83 years.
