"Chester turned out a creditable first night crowd of 2800 people for the opening of the new State Theatre last month. The new. building, on the site of the old State Theatre and the still older Opera House, has a tasteful, modern exterior and a luxurious marble-paneled lobby inside. It seats 750 people downstairs and 250 in the balcony."
