"Internet Resources for Genealogists," a free presentation and discussion given by the Genealogical Computing Association of Pennsylvania (GenCAP), will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, August 12th, in the Winsor Room of the Memorial Library of Radnor Township, 114 W. Wayne Ave., Wayne (DelawareCo.), PA, and is open to the public. GenCAP board members will identify and describe a selection of websites that aid in researching one's family history. Among these will be the LDS (Mormon) Church's FamilySearch Internet Genealogy Service, the Pennsylvania GenWeb network of county websites and the Ancestry.com/RootsWeb collection of databases. The meeting will be informal, allowing attendees time to share ideas and ask questions.

Public parking is available and the meeting room is handicap accessible.

The Genealogical Computing Association of Pennsylvania (GenCAP), founded in 1986, is a not-for-profit educational association of genealogists who use computers in their work. GenCAP is open to all who have an interest in the application of computers to genealogical research or the organization and reporting of that research. The association publishes a quarterly newsletter containing instructive and informative articles of interest to beginners as well as to very experienced computer users. Many of the examples used in the newsletter focus on Pennsylvania families, but there is no geographic boundary for membership.
