Dear Class of 1951,

It saddens me to write you about the passing of my mother, your classmate, Rose Ann Pisani on December 30, 2001. She fought a long battle with heart disease for over six years. She joined her husband of 36 years, Ardingo Iacono, who passed suddenly from a heart attack on May 4, 2001. The two of them are interred in the front part of St. Thomas the Apostle cemetery in Chester Heights under the marker IACONO.

As the oldest of her two children, I am happy to say that she instilled in me many things such as a love of her hometown, Old Chester City.

I stumbled across this web site after talking with many former residents of the city as I try to reconstruct my roots and get in touch with both of my parent's past.

My mother worked for Boeing Vertol as a secretary until my birth in 1970. She then became a full time homemaker and took care of me and my sister Linda (born 1972) with her husband (a furniture refinisher for Marvin J. Freed and later Levitz). The resided in Upper Chichester where I know teach high school English at the high school from which I graduated. My sister in married with two children and a nurse at Crozer Chester. My mother lived long enough to see the birth of her youngest grandchild, Kayla Rose (named after her) on November 6, 2001.

She also lived long enough to dance with me on my wedding day, July 6, 2001.

We love her and miss her.
