I was in 9th grade at Pulaski Jr High when I moved to Wilmington, DE. I had several friends who would have gone on to Chester High after Pulaski. I would love to hear from anyone who may remember me. Hey Chester High Classs of '71 !!! Can I get a "You Go Girl ???" Portland Councilor and Former Mayor, Jill C. Duson is testing the waters to consider becoming a candidate for Maine’s 1st Congressional District seat in the 2008 election cycle. Duson currently serves as Director of the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services within the Maine Department of Labor. Representative Tom Allen (D), now serving his fifth term as Congressman from Maine’s 1st District, has indicated that he may run for the US Senate against Senator Susan Collins (R). Nearing the end of a second 3 year term on Council, Duson will run for re-election to her at-large seat in 07 and then look ahead to ‘08. “I respect Congressman Allen and the incredible job he has done for Maine. It would be presumptuous to leave my current commitments and announce a candidacy for the CD1 seat before Tom confirms his plans.” said Duson. “However, if Tom does decide to run for Senate, there is a strong likelihood that I will enter the primary and run for the open congressional seat . Southern Maine is the unrivaled engine of the state’s economy, and the 1st CD includes our largest population center, together these form a strong base from which to build a successful Congressional campaign. I attended Pulaski Jr High School 1967 to 1968 and then Chester High School (Vocational Bldg) from Sept 1968 to June 1970. I did not graduate from Chester High School due to transfer to Sun Valley High School in Aston, as I lived in Aston at that time. Had I not transferred, I would have been a member of the Class of 1971! I did however graduate from Sun Valley that same year.
