haven't seen in years, and would love to see/know how you are doing. I'm fine, enjoying life at an age I never thought I would see. God is good. Unfortunately the class of 84 recently lost William
Harper (Harp) who was a good High school friend of mine, and some of you as well.
That, as well as reading the messages sparked up a since of nostalgia; a time when life wasn't so serious, and death wasn't so imminent.
I see some of you from time to time, and it's always a joyous moment. Maybe
(the locals) we should plan some events that would bring the class together more frequently than just reunion time.

While I started attended CHS with many of you, I graduated from private HS in New England. I have lots of catching up to do with some former classmates. Greetings friends and fellow-classmates:
I can hardly believe how swiftly 20 years have gone by. I would swear that just last week Avery Mosley and I were sneaking out the 9th Street door to smoke a Newport. Anyway, I do hope we're able to mark the ocassion of our 20th reunion with some type of event. Due to my geographical location, the extent of my physical involvement in the planning process will, of course, be limited. However, I'm eager to exchange ideas, do research, and whatever else I can do to aid whomever, ultimately, takes charge and heads our effort.
At any rate, I look forward to hearing from any and all of you with whom I may have lost touch, but, in my heart and thoughts, have never forgotten and continue to remember fondly.

Hi CHS of '84. It's been a long time since I've seen most of you and to the classmates I do see it is always a blessing and a joy. I have been back to visit Chester since we've graduated. It is strange walking through those doors at Chester High returning one more time. I now have two children that attend Chester High. My daughter is a Chester High Cheerleader and my son plays on the J.V. squad. It brings back some fond memories when I walk through those halls visiting the teachers and attending those exciting Chester High games. Chester High still looks good and Chester High still has some of the same teachers there when we were there. I hope everyone is doing fine. Let me know if anyone puts a

I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish you and yours good health, happiness and prosperity!
I wish you much success with your 20th Reunion plans. I heard that '83 was a blast!
I am not a member of your graduating class. However, I do have some information that I would like to share with you.
It is my understanding that C/O '81 was the last class to conduct the Ms. Chester Pageant. Well it's back! CHOICES, Inc. (Coalition of Hope Offering Inner City Empowerment Services), where I serve as Treasurer, is a non-profit organization located in Chester, whose primary objective is to empower inner-city youth by providing traditional and non-traditional learning activities, enrichment, after school and entrepreneur programs through workshops, seminars, training, field trips and the classroom.
On May 1, 2004, CHOICES, Inc. will be holding the Ms. Chester, Princess, Jr. Teen and Teen Pageant in Chester, PA at Alumni Hall, Widener University. The pageant is designed to showcase young ladies of the community who possess a combination of poise, personality, intelligence and talent. As you know, this pageant has not been held in the city in over twenty years and CHS c/o '81 winner, Beverly Burton, has been invited to crown the next Ms. Chester! We are also trying to reach Sharon Whitaker, who I was told shared the '81 crown. Any assistance you can offer with locating Sharon would be appreciated.
Contestants are competing for trophies, cash prizes and the opportunity to represent the city of Chester at various regional events.
We are currently looking for young women ages 6-18 to participate. In addition, on behalf of CHOICES, Inc., I am respectfully requesting your support by spreading the word about the Ms. Chester Pageant Event, In addition, we are looking for members to join, volunteers to conduct workshops, direct programs, grantwriters and SPONSORS!! Fundraising events are being held and we are asking for your support. If you hear of any CHOICES, Inc. events, please come out to support us so that we can continue to empoerment services for our youth.
Many successful women have launched their careers through pageantry! It helps to build self-esteem, confidence, poise, social
etiquette and community awareness.

This is a rebuttle to Earl's message. Yes, it is true that Bernadette and myself took it upon ourselves to do a fifteenth reunion simply because they weren't doing anything. However, before anything was done I myself contacted Earl to find out how much money we had to work with. I was told one figure from him and another once he talked to Jackie. It also was a struggle getting the money from Jackie, I was told there was a checking account, but when it came time to make payments I was offered a personal credit card, so what happened to the account. I don't appreciate Earl making it seem like he doesn't know what was going on because we went through him to even get the money or to even know what we had to work with. There is one thing that Earl is correct about and that is we have no money left. We were in the hole after the fifteenth year reunion. So many people have asked me to organize the 20th reunion and at the time I was unable to due to the welfare of my mother, whom passed on October 30, 2003. As stated before if anyone is interested in putting a reunion together I will be more than happy to work with you, but time is of essence.
