I am the principal at Saint Katharine Drexel School in Chester and I am looking to contact Mr. Vince Donlevie class of 1973. We are the only Catholic school left in the city of Chester and we are in need of financial help. With the casinos coming in Chester can not afford to give up the only faith-based school left open. As freshman in 1955 we girls from all over Chester area were the very first to invade the third floor of St. James H.S. - Class of 1959. We remember the nuns and brothers trying to keep us apart by the staggered hours. The boys would run up and throw water balloons down the hallway and and the nuns would usher us into classrooms so fast as to not be a 'Near Occasion of Sin' while the boys motto was "Seek Those Things Which are Above" What a fun year that was! Such innocent times Gone Forever! Hello to all of you who were in that first year of 'raging puberty' with us. My sister married the guys who posted note further down in this long & fun scroll - HI DRR - I remember when you and Kath picked me up after school when I escaped from the nuns clutches early and your buddy Dominic Scutti and I had a crush on each other--then he broke my heart by becoming a priest!

Only went to St. James for one year. Too many demerits. Went on to Ridley for the remainder and graduated in 1964. Strange enough, my memories of St. James and the strict Brother etc. are still good ones at this point in my life. I would have liked to graduate from St. James but I must admit that I really liked Ridley more. Great football, lots of girls and some great teachers.
