William R. Connors

William R. Connors

(A biographical sketch from a Chester Times or Delaware County Daily Times newspaper clipping, "Know Your Police" from the collection of John C. "Snakes" Boyle, contributed by his granddaughters, Jane Boyle & Patty Boyle.)

Patrolman William R. Connors is a member of the police force who has visited almost every spot of any significance in the world.

Before he became a traffic policeman four years ago, he had behind him a record of five years on the high seas as a naval reservist on merchant ships. Those five years took him to Atlantic Pacific and Mediterranean and Middle East areas during World War II.

Connors, who was born in Chester and attended parochial school here, lives at 326 E. 24th St. He is 31.

He is married to the former Irene Frattorollo of Chester, and they have three children, Jean Theresa, 5 years; William R. Jr., 4 years; and Francis X, nine months.

Connors keeps too busy to indulge in any hobbies except following all sports.
