John E. Mullen

A Marine Corps veteran of the Korean conflict became a Chester patrolman just six weeks ago. He is John E. Mullen, 23, of E. Mowry st.

Mullen was in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1949 through 1952 and spent 11 months in Korea with Battery C., 1st 4.5 Rocket Bn., First Marine Division.

Prior to joining the police force here he worked with the Burns Detective Agency in Philadelphia and the Sun Oil Co.

Born and raised in Chester, he attended the public schools here. He is married to the former The...ma Bell. Mullen says his hobby is responding to fire alarms with the Felton Fire Co., of which he's been a member for 4 1/2 years.
