Joseph N. Pew, Sr. ( J. Newton Pew, Sr.) was President of Delaware County National Bank I believe from the late 40's to the late 1960's. During that time he was also Chairman of the Board for a number of years. In the late 1960's Leroy F. F. Wright became President and Mr. Pew remained Chairman. In 1969 DCNB and National Bank of Chester County consolidated and created Southeast National Bank of PA. of which Mr. Pew was the Chairman and Mr. Wright the first President. Mr. Pew remained Chairman of SNB for a number of years before retiring.

He also had a son Joseph Newton Pew, Jr. who was an officer of the Bank. Joe, Jr. was Marketing Director for DCNB in the 1960's. At SNB he was a Regional Vice-President and later he resigned as a bank officer and became a member of the Board of Directors of SNB. He continues to be active serving on some of the non-profit boards in the Chester area such as United Way of Southeast Delco.
