I did not know Mr. [Charles] Palmer, but I did have the privilige of working on several occasions for his son Newlin Palmer, who was in the Real Estate and Insurance business for many years. Mr. Newlin Palmer had his office on the Second Floor of 815 Edgmont Ave., Chester in the early seventies, and later moved his office to the second floor of the Colony Bldg, on Welsh, between fifth and sixth st., Chester.

- 1900 - 1975-76 [The business was} "Real Estate and insurance.  It was originally owned by my mother in laws father (1st Husband) and when he died she, Margaret Witsil Johnson, took over.  She was just out of Swarthmore College and was at the Univ. of Pa. Law School.  She never completed her law degree because of this.  She ran this business from about 1933 when her dad died until she could no longer physically do it.  Probably about 1975-76.  She passed away in 1985.  It was located in Chester in the Fidelity Chester Building.  She married J. Roland Johnson in 1933 and they lived on Old Middletown Rd. next door to the Habbersetts , who lived on the corner of Middletown and Knowlton Rds.  Their home was called Wytcote. It burned down Nov. 12, 1967 and was rebuilt on the same foundation."
