Mrs. Florence E. Bennett, 71, of Apartment 9-A, Wallingford Arms Apartments, Wallingford Road, Nether Providence, died Thursday in Riddle Memorial Hospital, Middletown, after a brief illness.

Mrs. Bennett was born in Philadelphia and lived most of her life in Delaware County.  She lived four months at Wallingford Arms.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church Chester, and a life member of Eastern Star Chapter 335 of Chester.

She is survived by her husband, John H. Bennett; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Jane Smith of Nether Providence; three sisters, Mrs. Warren R. Pierce of Nether Providence; Mrs. William Watson of Glen Mills and Mrs. Leslie Jackson of Ridley Park and two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 8th and Butler Sts., Chester. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
