Text of Obituary: The funeral for George (Doodle) Ardes, 58, of 604 Pusey Ave., Collingdale, the second victim of a three-way collision May 12 on the Conchester Highway, Upper Chichester, will be 9 a.m. Saturday at the John L. Clancy Funeral Home, 9th and Upland Sts., Chester. Requiem mass will be 10 a.m. at Resurrection of our Lord Roman Catholic Church, Chester. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Marple.

Calling hours will be this evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Ardes, a lifelong Delaware County resident, was born in Chester. He lived more than 25 years in Chester Township's Feltonville area before moving to Collingdale two years ago.

He was a ## year member of the West End Boat Club of Chester and was a member of Franklin Fire Co.

He was employed as a millright at Allied Chemical Corp., Marcus Hook.

He is survived by his widow, Edith; two sons, James of Chester Township and Joseph of Upper Chichester; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Hicks of Audubon, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Judith Johnson of Collingdale; two brothers, John of Brookhaven and Joseph of Trainer, and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Skinner of Concord.
