Richard D. Hinckley, 53, of Morton, a retired employee of Chester Machine Company, died June 7 at Mercy Catholic Medical Center, Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital, Darby.

Born in Ohio, Mr. Hinckley lived in Delaware County for most of his life. He was employed as a machinist at Chester Machine Company for a number of years before his retirement. Mr. Hinckley was a lifetime member of the Moyamensing Hook and Ladder Company of Chester.

Surviving are two sons, Roger and Robert Hinckley, both of Morton; a daughter, Cheryl Robertson of Mississippi; a sister, Dolores Still of Washington; and two grandchildren.

A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Friday at the Marvil Funeral Home, 1110 Main St., Darby. Burial will be in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer. Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Hero Scholarship Fund of Delaware County Inc., Courthouse, Media, Pa. 19063.

Notes: Mr. Hinckley was born 4/5/1940.
