Text of Obituary: Theodore Lucyk, owner and operator of a grocery store for 40 years at 2729 W. 3rd St., Chester, died Saturday in Sacred Heart Hospital, Chester.

Mr. Lucyk was born in the Ukraine and came to the United States in 1913 and settled in Chester. Before going into the grocery business he was employed at General Steel Castings Co.

He was a member and one of the founders of St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the Ukrainian American National Home, and was a member of the Ukrainian National Association Branch No. 237. He was secratary of the church for many years.

Surviving are his widow, Mary; a daughter, Mrs. Anastasia Herman of Media; two sons, Elias of Wallingford, Nether Providence and Harry of Media; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The funeral will be 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Kaniefski funeral home. Parastas by the Chester. Requiem Holy Liturgy will be at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Chester. Burial will be in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Lower Chichester.

Calling hours will be Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Prastas by the Very Rev. Omelan Mycyk will be at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
