Text of Obituary: 

Gilbert T. Martin, 93, of Middletown, a Sinclair Corporation retiree, died Feb. 14 at Lima Estates, Middletown.

Born and raised in Chester, he was the son of the late Clinton T. Martin and Mary Dove Martin. Mr. Martin lived in Chester for most of his life before moving to Lima Estates 17 years ago.

Employed by Sinclair Refinery for 10 years before his retirement in 1968, he was employed earlier by the former American Viscose Corp. and its successor FMC Corp. of Marcus Hook for 17 years.

A member of Good Will Fire Co. for 50 years, Mr. Martin received a citation for his long continuous service to the fire company. An avid golfer, he was a former member of Rock Manor Golf Club, Wilmington, Del.

Mr. Martin is survived by his nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. at Chester Rural Cemetery, where burial will follow.

Arrangements are by the William S. Bleyler Funeral Home of Upland.

Notes: Mr. Martin was born 2/28/1904.
