Text of Obituary: Howard L. Perry, 75, of 109 Ervin Ave,Lower Chichester, a retired supervisor at Ford Motor Co. in Delair, N.J.,died Sunday at his home.He worked for Ford for 37 years, retiring in 1966. He worked at the Ford Assembly Plant in Chester until it closed and then he transferred to Delair.He was born in Chilhowie,VA and moved to Delaware County in 1929. He married the former Carolyn Cook 50 years ago. After his retirement, he moved to Marion,VA but returned to Delaware County eight years ago. He was a member of Ford Local 918 in Chester; West End Boat Club and Chester Baptist Temple in UpperChichester Surviving in addition to his widow are two sons, Howard D. Perry and James G. both of Claymont; two daughters,Carolyn Maloney of Upper Chichester;and Joyce McLaughlin of Cheyenne,Wy;three sisters,Mrs.Minerva Kinser of Radford,VA;Mrs. Ada Davis of Chilhowie,VA and Mrs.Minnie Mathews of Altoona,AL;nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.The funeral will be at 2pm Thursday at the Robert Moreland Funeral Home,9th and Main Streets,Trainer, with burial in Lawncroft Cemetary, Lower Chichester. Calling hours will be after 7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
