Text of Obituary: 

Paul R. Seiverd, 87, of Broomall, a retired union electrician, died March 10 at Broomall Presbyterian Home.

Born in Chester, he lived in Milmont Park, Ridley Twp., for 51 years. Mr. Seiverd moved to Broomall three years ago.

He was employed as an electrician for Local 654 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 40 years before retiring in 1973.

Mr. Seiverd played semi-professional baseball with Reece-Malloy Club, Crother Brothers, Goodwill Fire Company and Upland teams.

He was a member of Ridley and Our Lady of Peace Seniors organizations.

Husband of the late Kathleen R. Swift Seiverd, he is survived by a son, Paul Seiverd of Milmont Park; two daughters, Barbara Gahles of Swarthmore and Kathleen Weaver of Glenolden; two brothers, Herbert Seiverd of Crum Lynne and Curtis Seiverd of Oxford, Pa.; two sisters, Pearl Stipa of Essington and Gertrude Young of Philadelphia; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mr. Seiverd was the son of the late Samuel L. and Bessie Realey Seiverd.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at the James F. Knoetgen Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Ave., Morton. Burial will be in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple.

Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Notes: Mr. Seiverd was born 8/27/1910.
