"The Barry Bridge Park is beautiful. It is approximately 6 1/2 acres of park, dedicated by the city officials on Thursday October 22, 2004. A nice size parking area that has access walks to the river and once opened, a road that will lead to the boat ramp. A short walk under the Barry Bridge brings you to a brick paved court yard with benches, planted trees, and lighting for enjoying on warm evenings. There is a foot bridge which will open to a walking trail to the Wharf of Rivertown. It is a place to relax and enjoy the Panoramic Views along the river that long since disappeared from the Chester riverside. It is symbolic of the hopes City officials have for the rebirth of Chester.
